Meet Carol, Founder of REVVE

Hi — I’m Carol, the founder of Revve. I started this company because I’ve seen firsthand how confusing, intimidating, and opaque the mortgage process can feel — especially for homeowners trying to navigate it on their own.

For years, I worked alongside real estate professionals, lenders, and homeowners, and I noticed a frustrating pattern: too many people felt unprepared, overlooked, or pressured into conversations they weren’t ready for. I knew there had to be a better, more transparent, and empowering way to help people understand their mortgage potential — without jumping through hoops.

That’s why I built Revve: to give everyday homeowners a clear, private, no-pressure way to see where they stand financially before ever having to talk to a lender. Problems We Solve

The last time I tried, the lender looked at my tax returns and told me I didn't make enough. But I have write-offs to lower my taxes—that’s just smart business. They see a low net income on paper, but they don’t see the healthy revenue in my business. I’m not putting myself through that again until I’m 100% certain my paperwork is bulletproof.

After awhile, I didn’t just feel like a failed applicant; I felt like a failed entrepreneur. They made me feel like my business wasn’t ‘legitimate’ enough because my income wasn’t a simple W-2. The whole process was so invasive that only ended in a single, cold ‘no’ and being ghosted. I’m not ready for a second round of this, no thanks.

I know I need to talk to someone, but I don’t even know where to start. Last time, I just walked in with my tax returns and it was a disaster. Now I’m hearing I need two years of returns, profit & loss statements, business bank statements… It’s a mountain of paperwork I don’t have organized, and the fear of getting another ‘no’ after all that work is paralyzing. I’ll get to it, but right now, it just feels easier to keep renting.
